Year of St. Petersburg Culture
St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov has officially declared 2026 the Year of St. Petersburg Culture. The program is being held under the auspices of two significant anniversaries: the 120th birthdays of the renowned composer Dmitri Shostakovich and the literary scholar and cultural historian Dmitry Likhachev. At the heart of the Year’s program lies the culture of St. Petersburg and its role in world history. During the United Cultures Forum, round-table participants will discuss the project's priority status and social significance.
