Culture without Borders
The events of the last decade have only served to prove that what distinguishes humanity from the rest of creation is culture. It is culture that gives society its structure and informs its values, taboos, and behavior. Nowhere is human consciousness more clearly attested than in our cultural reflexes. In spite of the attempts of weakness and intolerance to bind culture and limit cultural interaction, culture, like a mountain river, invariably forges a path and touches us all. In effect, it cannot be bound, and the participants of this panel session will explain why.
