Early Rembrandt Work to Be Presented at the United Cultures Forum
A one-of-a-kind exhibition project dedicated to Rembrandt’s The Baptism of the Eunuch will be included in the cultural programme of the 12th St. Petersburg International United Cultures Forum. The work, which usually hangs on the walls of the Museum of Christian Culture in St. Petersburg, dates to the early period of Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn’s career. Rembrandt is widely known as an innovator and master of chiaroscuro – the use of bold contrasts to create drama – and his works always stand out for their profound psychological depth.
