This session will examine key challenges faced by museums and cultural heritage sites in the context of armed conflicts. Participants will discuss issues of cultural property appropriation and restitution, as well as the legal and ethical aspects of their protection. Special attention will be given to safeguarding monuments in war zones and the role of public initiatives and digital technologies in preserving heritage.
