ICOM is a global organization representing museums and museum professionals. Its activities aim to protect and promote natural and cultural heritage—past and future, tangible and intangible. The current international situation and crisis in the global museum community clearly require a rethinking of museums' role on the international stage. The event will showcase ICOM's structure as a professional organization, the benefits of membership, opportunities for individual professionals, museums and regional museum communities, and the organization's primary activities. Experts will also discuss current issues of international cooperation within the framework of ICOM.
