11/09/2025
16:00 — 17:30
General Staff Building, Small Atrium 6/8 Palace sq., St. Petersburg

Russia is a country where the family has always been the unshakable foundation of society, a stronghold of spirit, and a guardian of tradition. But what will become of Russia if that foundation cracks? The more challenges the traditional family faces in today’s world, the more serious the attention this topic requires—not only from the state but also from culture and the media.

This discussion will focus on the theme of the family in contemporary Russian culture and on how the media covers it, as well as on the potential of mass media and culture to help address demographic issues.
