Children’s Libraries as Keepers of Memory: Local History in Intergenerational Dialogue

Children's libraries act as keepers of memory in the dialog of generations through local history work. Libraries accumulate local history documents, which help to preserve the historical memory of the native land, its geography, population, historical experience, to pass on knowledge about the past of the family, relatives, their city, district, as well as to restore the lost historical connection between generations, to popularize the history, culture and literature of the native land.
