The State Historical Museum, the largest museum of national culture and history in Russia, has already posted in the Internet for general public 1.5 million monuments from its collection: manuscripts and early printed books, cartography and much more. The museum has 15 fund departments.

The Uffizi Gallery in Florence has posted for the general public on its website the illustrations for Dante Alighieri's “Divine Comedy”. The drawings, which were only presented to the public in 1865 and 1993, were created by Federico Zuccaro the artist and art theorist.

The Royal Library of Belgium has made publically available on the Internet the medieval handwritten literary works and manuscripts collection, which also includes the first novels of chivalry.

The Royal Academy of Arts, London posted on the Internet for general public over 200 objects from its collection. Works by John Constable, Joshua Reynolds, Kiki Smith, Craigie Aitchison and others are presented, as well as a copy of the Last Supper fresco made by the students of Leonardo da Vinci.

The "Museums of Paris" Association, which includes 14 cultural institutions, posted on the Internet to the general public over 320 thousand digitized works. The project took three years to complete.

The University of Florida Children's Historical Library has posted on the Internet to the general public over 6,000 children books of the Victorian age with very positive covers.

The online gallery covers the period from the reign of Peter I to the early USSR. The archive contains rare photos and more than 300 samples with the artists information, including agitation textiles.

Non-obvious books about the theater from the Russian State Library — are the oldest of the interesting ones and the most interesting of the forgotten ones. The portal brings together seven city archives and provides access to the information in electronic form.

The American Institute and its complex of 19 museums are called the "the Nation’s attic", because there are more than 150 million items kept there.

The collection is named after the city of Leiden, where Rembrandt was born, and includes more than 250 paintings and drawings by Rembrandt, Jan Vermeer, Frans Hals, Jan Lievens, Gerard Dau, Jan Steen and other artists.
