The Cultural Capitals competition began in 2023 and annually takes place in Russia. During the event, a prestigious title is awarded to one city in the country by a panel of experts. Nikolay Novichok, the Organizing Committee Chairman, will present the awards and provide information about the participating and winning cities. Representatives of Governments of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Chechen Republic will also be in attendance.
