The legendary Festival of Circus Art “Without Borders” is held in Saint Petersburg, the birthplace of Russia’s first stone permanent circus — the Ciniselli Circus.
The festival brings together the best circus artists from around the world: agile acrobats and daring equilibrists, mysterious illusionists and charismatic clowns, virtuoso jugglers and masters of animal training. Every act radiates energy, mastery, and courage that takes your breath away.
“Without Borders” not only showcases the highest level of today’s circus — it sets the bar, inspires, and unites. Creative collaborations are born here, new names are discovered, and audiences witness a true miracle — live, bright, and unfiltered.
The jury of “Without Borders” consists of prominent cultural figures from Russia and abroad — leading international experts in circus arts, the creative industries, and event management.
The festival’s history began as a decisive, inspiring response. When Russian artists were denied participation in the international competition in Monte‑Carlo, a new international festival was created in Russia at the initiative of Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova and with the support of the Russian State Circus Company — vibrant, open, and large‑scale. Thus in 2022 the first “Without Borders” was launched, and since then it has become an annual event.
In three years, the festival has brought together more than 500 artists from 30 countries, proving that art needs no visas, borders, or constraints. It has only one goal — to bring joy.
