Tatiana Golikova holds a meeting of the Organizing Committee for the 12th St. Petersburg International United Cultures Forum
Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation Tatiana Golikova held a meeting of the Organizing Committee for the 12th St. Petersburg International United Cultures Forum. The meeting addressed the key questions involved in preparing the 2026 event.
From 24 to 26 September 2026, the Northern Capital will once again host the Forum participants and guests. Tatiana Golikova, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, noted:
“The St. Petersburg International United Cultures Forum has established itself as a respected platform where representatives of different countries and peoples can openly discuss the present and future of culture. This year, the Forum’s theme will be ‘United Cultures, Common Values’. I am confident that our joint efforts will allow us not only to share experience and analyze the key trends in the development of today’s cultural environment, but also to work out concrete solutions. The outcome will be new international projects that help strengthen cultural ties and prove that Russian culture cannot be cancelled: it remains an integral part of the global cultural space.”
Tatiana Golikova, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation
In 2026, the Forum’s operator will be the Roscongress Foundation, with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, and the Administration of St. Petersburg. This will make it possible to apply best practices in preparing major international events, to strengthen work with participants, partners, and foreign delegations, and to enhance the quality of the Forum’s international promotion and the substantive development of its programme.
“The Forum will be a platform befitting Russia’s high status as a distinctive state-civilization, a vast Eurasian and Euro-Pacific power that has brought together the Russian people and the other peoples making up the cultural and civilizational community of the Russian World, which over many centuries has developed the ability to ensure, within a shared territory, the harmonious coexistence of different peoples and of ethnic, religious, and linguistic groups. The Forum’s theme for 2026, ‘United Cultures, Common Values’, reflects our mission: through the diversity of cultures towards unity grounded in traditional moral values.”
Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee
He noted that the President of Russia has repeatedly pointed to the need to give priority attention to the development of culture, and that the organizers’ shared task is to hold the forum at the highest possible level in terms of both organization and content.
Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, endorsed the proposals for organizing the Forum and noted:
“An important part of the programme is traditionally made up of events that give foreign partners the chance to showcase the uniqueness of their national cultures to a broad audience. In addition, building on the successful experience of previous years, we hope to retain the traditional areas of the thematic sections, led by leaders in the field.”
Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation
Particular attention at the meeting was given to the information campaign. Presentation and discussion events are planned on the sidelines of SPIEF, the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), and other key Roscongress Foundation events.
Through the joint efforts of the organizers, the 2026 Forum is set to become a vivid, substantive, and large-scale event, fully befitting Russia’s status as a state-civilization and its role in the global cultural dialogue.
