Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova chaired a meeting of the organising committee of the XII St. Petersburg International United Cultures Forum. The meeting addressed the key preparations for the 2026 event.

On 24–26 September 2026 the Northern Capital will once again welcome the participants and guests of the Forum. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova noted:

“The St. Petersburg International United Cultures Forum has established itself as an authoritative platform where representatives of different countries and peoples can openly discuss the present and future of culture. This year the theme of the Forum will be ‘United Cultures — Shared Values’. I am confident that our joint work will allow us to exchange experience and to develop concrete solutions.”

In 2026 the Forum will be operated by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture and the Administration of St. Petersburg. This will make it possible to apply the best practices for preparing major international events.

“The Forum will be a platform matching Russia’s high status as a distinctive state-civilisation. The theme of the 2026 Forum — ‘United Cultures — Shared Values’ — reflects our mission: through the diversity of cultures towards unity based on traditional moral values.”

Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the Organising Committee

He noted that the President of Russia has repeatedly stressed the need to give priority attention to the development of culture, and that the common task of the organisers is to hold the Forum at the highest level.

“An important part of the programme is traditionally made up of events that give foreign partners the opportunity to showcase the uniqueness of their national cultures to a wide audience. We intend to preserve the traditional thematic sections led by industry leaders.”

Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation

Special attention at the meeting was paid to the information campaign. Presentation and discussion events are planned on the sidelines of SPIEF, EEF and other key events of the Roscongress Foundation.

Through the joint efforts of the organisers, the 2026 Forum is set to become a bright, meaningful and large-scale event, fully matching Russia’s status as a state-civilisation and its role in the global cultural dialogue.
